To award a contract to the Housing LIN to develop the Supported Housing Needs Assessment and Strategy for the borough

Reasons for the decision

In order to meet the statutory requirement of the Supported Housing Regulatory Oversight Act to deliver the Supported Housing Needs Assessment and Supported Housing Strategy before 31st March 2027

Alternative options considered

An RFQ was circulated to providers to consider other supplier options. The option to complete the project in house is not available; the council does not have the volume of work to employ a specialist officer in house.

The option to do nothing is not possible as this is a statutory requirement
