Decision

Provide £40K for RBWM Library services to recruit 2 x PT Healthy Lifestyles workers to improve referrals, uptake of the smoking cessation offer and increase the number of residents setting a quit date. Also, provide £40K to Maidenhead PCN for consultation activity with existing smokers on GP records, to encourage referral to the stop smoking service and increase number of residents setting a quit date.

Reasons for the decision

The LSSSG funding is ringfenced within the Public Health grant to be used solely to improve referrals and uptake of local stop smoking provision. Both services are well placed to engage with residents and support onward referral.
