To appoint MCS Construction as the main
contractor for the creation of a Resourced Provision for children
with special educational needs at Hilltop First School.

Reasons for the decision

A tendering exercise has been carried out, in
compliance with the borough's constitution, to find the contractor
for the works at Hilltop First School.

Alternative options considered

Alternative tenders could have been approved,
but the tender exercise found that MCS Construction were the best
value. The do nothing option would mean not appointing a
contractor, and halting the construction of a new Resourced
Provision at Hilltop First School.
