The Safeguarding, Communities and Well-being Scrutiny
Committee also acts as the Crime and Disorder Scrutiny Committee as defined in Section 19 and 20 of the Police and
Justice Act 2006.
Terms of Reference:
To ensure that the people
of Wrexham feel safe and secure with sustainable, attractive settlements,
neighbourhoods, buildings and spaces. To
ensure that vulnerable children and adults are safeguarded and have good health
and well-being.
To fulfil the
function of the Crime & Disorder Scrutiny Committee in accordance with
section 19(1) of the Police and Justice Act 2006.
The functions to be
discharged by Scrutiny Committees are contained in Section 7 of the Council's
Constitution. Please get in
