Purpose

To update Members on proposals for the future use of the former Grove High School site and to seek views on and support for the disposal to Coleg Cambria

Decision

RESOLVED – That the Chief Officer Housing and Assets be authorised to agree to terms for a disposal to Coleg Cambria and determination of boundaries, in consultation with Lead Member Finance and Asset Management and Lead Member Education.

Reasons for Decision

(i)             To obtain support for a course of action to dispose of the surplus property and generate a significant cost saving to the Council.

(ii)            Enable a vacant site to be brought back into a productive use for the benefit of Wrexham City Centre and wider County Borough.
