Decision

RESOLVED –

(i)       That Councillor John Pritchard be appointed to represent the Council on the Joint Council for Wales for the period up to the date of the next local government elections in 2027.

(ii)      That this matter be dealt with as an urgent item of business in accordance with Section 5 (Rule 5.8.10(m)) of the Council’s Constitution.

Reasons for Decisions

(i) The WLGA anticipate that the amended constitution will be presented for formal adoption at their Full Council AGM on 16 October 2026 and have asked that revised membership arrangements are confirmed and in place in advance of that meeting.

(ii)To ensure that the Council is appropriately represented on the Joint Council for Wales and to enable the Member to attend meetings with immediate effect
