Wyre's Cabinet, also known as the Executive, is responsible for making many of the day-to-day decisions regarding the council's budget and policies. The Leader, elected by Full Council, appoints Cabinet members and assigns their specific responsibilities (portfolios). Cabinet implements the budget and policy framework approved by Full Council and cannot make decisions outside of these established parameters. Details of upcoming major decisions and any private sessions are published in a forward plan at least 28 days in advance, allowing public scrutiny.
