Planning Committee

The Wyre Planning Committee is responsible for deciding on significant planning applications and proposals for Tree Preservation Orders where objections have been made. While senior planning officers handle most applications, this committee focuses on those with greater importance to the local area. Committee members may visit application sites before meetings to assess the surroundings, and video footage may be presented for sites not visited. Members of the public, applicants, and ward councillors can request to speak at meetings, subject to limitations.
