The Health & Wellbeing Board was scheduled to review its strategy for children and young people, and to consider annual reports on public health and safeguarding. A verbal update on the Better Care Fund was also on the agenda.
Ambition One: Children and Young People
The meeting was scheduled to review Ambition 1
of the Health and Wellbeing strategy, which focuses on ensuring that Our children and young people are healthy, safe and happy and can achieve their full potential.
This review was intended to assess progress and inform future actions related to the well-being of young people in the borough. The relevant report is available as AMBITION 1.
Annual Public Health Report 2026
A key item on the agenda was the consideration of the Annual Public Health Report for 2026. This report was set to focus on the health and well-being of school-aged children in both Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster, aiming to highlight their lived experiences and priorities. The intention was for these insights to help shape local services and drive improvements across the system. Local Safeguarding Children Partnership Annual Report
The Board was also scheduled to review the annual report of the Local Safeguarding Children Partnership. This report was intended to provide an overview of the multi-agency work undertaken across Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster to safeguard children. The report is available as LOCAL SAFEGUARDING CHILDREN PARTNERSHIP ANNUAL REPORT and Paper 3 LSCP ANNUAL REPORT 24-25.
Adult's Safeguarding Report
The agenda included the 2024/25 Annual Report of the Safeguarding Adults Executive Board (SAEB). This report was expected to detail the leadership and work of the multi-agency Board in ensuring the safety of residents who are at risk of harm, either from others or through self-neglect. The reports are provided in two parts: Paper 4 SAEBAnnualReport2025 pt 1 and Paper 4 SAEBAnnualReport2025 pt 2.
Better Care Fund Submission Update
A verbal update was scheduled regarding the Better Care Fund for 2026/27. The Better Care Fund is a jointly commissioned fund by NHS England and the Department of Health and Social Care, designed to improve health and social care outcomes for individuals.
The meeting also included time for questions from the audience and to confirm the date of the next meeting, which was scheduled to be hosted by Westminster City Council on 21 May 2026. The main agenda document for this meeting is the Agenda frontsheet 26th-Feb-2026 16.00 Health Wellbeing Board.
