It was noted that additional meetings might be convened if urgent business arose. The committee's remit is to exercise all licensing and registration functions (including the setting of fees as appropriate) to the extent they are not the responsibility of the Licensing Committee. ¹

Declarations of Interest

Members of the committee were reminded of their obligations regarding declarations of interest. This included understanding the difference between Disclosable Pecuniary Interests (DPIs) and Non-DPIs, and the actions required for each, such as withdrawing from discussions or declaring the nature of the interest. Guidance was provided on how to identify these interests, which could relate to employment, sponsorship, contracts, land, licences, corporate tenancies, and securities. Members were also advised to seek advice from the Monitoring Officer, Shupriya Iqbal, Director of Governance and Legal Services, if they were in doubt about declaring an interest.
