The Warwickshire Police and Crime Panel is scheduled to convene on Monday 15 June 2026. The meeting's agenda includes a review of the Police and Crime Commissioner's report, updates from working groups, and discussions on local government reform.

Report of the Police and Crime Commissioner

The Panel is scheduled to consider and comment on the report from the Police and Crime Commissioner. This report is expected to provide details on key activities and decisions undertaken since the previous meeting, progress towards the objectives outlined in the Police and Crime Plan, and information regarding grants and commissioning. It is also anticipated to cover governance and accountability activities, communications and engagement efforts, national crime and policing measures, a financial summary, criminal justice system considerations, and any emerging local and national issues.

Local Government Reform

An update is scheduled to be received concerning local government reform, focusing on the future direction of policing in Warwickshire and its implications for the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC). This discussion may also include consideration of any complaints lodged against the Police and Crime Commissioner, taking into account the established Complaints Protocol.

Working Groups and Work Programme

The meeting will address the appointment of working groups, with a proposal to affirm the continuation of the Planning and Performance Working Group and the Budget Working Group for the 2026/2027 period, including their respective memberships. A verbal update is also expected from the Chair of the Planning and Performance Working Group, following their meeting on 8 June 2026. Furthermore, the Panel is scheduled to consider and review its Work Programme.

Other Scheduled Items

The agenda also includes the appointment of a Chair and Vice-Chair for the upcoming municipal year. Members will receive apologies, and there will be an opportunity for public speaking, where residents or those working in Warwickshire can address the Panel for up to three minutes on matters within its remit. The Panel will also note arrangements for future meetings and consider any urgent items at the discretion of the Chair. Discussions may also take place regarding reports containing confidential or exempt information, and any complaints received concerning the conduct of the Police and Crime Commissioner.
