The Pension Board of Scottish Borders Council is scheduled to convene on Thursday, 18 June 2026, to discuss the board's membership and the appointment of a replacement member to a sub-committee. The meeting will also include consideration of issues arising from a joint meeting with the Pension Committee.
Membership of the Pension Board
The board is scheduled to note changes to its membership following the resignation of Ms K Robb. The updated membership is set to include Councillor Julie Pirone (Scottish Borders Council), Mr R MacNay (Live Borders), Ms N McArthur (South of Scotland Enterprise), Ms L Murray (Borders College), Mr D Bell (Unite), Mr M Drysdale (GMB), Ms K M Hughes (Unison), and Mr A Stavert (Unison).
Appointment to Pension Fund Investment and Performance Sub-Committee
A discussion is scheduled regarding the appointment of a replacement member to the Pension Fund Investment and Performance Sub-Committee. This appointment is to fill the vacancy left by Ms K Robb.
Joint Meeting of Pension Committee and Pension Board
The board is scheduled to consider any issues that need to be raised in relation to the joint meeting with the Pension Committee. This will include consideration of any matters arising from the private business discussed at that joint meeting.
Private Business
The meeting is scheduled to move into private business, with the public excluded from the meeting. This is to allow for the consideration of items that are likely to involve the disclosure of exempt information, as defined by the Local Government (Scotland) Act 19731. The board will consider the private minute of a meeting held on 11 December 2025.
