The Member Governor Forum is scheduled to consider updates on school progress and attendance, alongside a presentation on the Attendance and Wellbeing Bill. The meeting will also include discussions on curriculum provision and staff redeployment in schools facing declining pupil numbers.
Attendance and Wellbeing Bill
A significant portion of the meeting is allocated to a presentation on the Attendance and Wellbeing Bill. This legislation, which aims to improve school attendance and support pupil wellbeing, is a key focus for the forum. The presentation is scheduled to be delivered by Ian Hewison.
General Update from Head of Schools and Early Years Improvement
Lucy Nutt, Head of Schools and Early Years Improvement, is expected to provide an update on progress within Enfield's schools and early years settings since the last meeting. Following this update, there will be an opportunity for questions from the floor. Specific topics scheduled for discussion include Curriculum provision in schools with falling rolls
and Redeployment of staff

Updates from Councillors and Forums
Councillor Chris Dey is scheduled to provide an update from the councillors. Additionally, John Prior will present reports from various forums, including the Schools' Forum and the Schools Workforce Planning Consultation Group. The implications of these reports for schools generally are expected to be noted and discussed.
Future Agenda Items and Other Business
The forum will also consider items for the next meeting, with members invited to suggest topics. Any other business (AOB) will be addressed, and nominations for the position of Co-chair will be welcomed. The date for the subsequent meeting, scheduled for 17 November 2026, will be noted, and items for future agendas will be agreed upon. Finally, any items to remain confidential will be identified.
