The Northern Planning Committee of Shropshire Council met on 14 May 2026 to elect its Chair and Vice-Chair for the upcoming municipal year. Councillor Julian Dean was elected as the new Chair, and Councillor Ben Jephcott was appointed as Vice-Chair. No apologies for absence were received.
Election of Chairman
Councillor Julian Dean was elected as the Chairman of the Northern Planning Committee for the forthcoming municipal year. This decision was proposed, seconded, and duly resolved by the committee.
Appointment of Vice-Chair
Councillor Ben Jephcott was appointed as the Vice-Chairman of the Northern Planning Committee for the forthcoming municipal year. This appointment was also proposed, seconded, and duly resolved by the committee.
Apologies for Absence
There were no apologies for absence received from any members of the Northern Planning Committee for this meeting.
