The Standards Sub-Committee of Shropshire Council met on Thursday 7 May 2026 to consider two code of conduct complaints. One complaint was referred for further investigation, while the other was deferred pending the gathering of more information.

Code of Conduct Complaint

The committee considered a report detailing a code of conduct complaint. Following their review, the members resolved to refer the complaint to the Monitoring Officer for further investigation.

Code of Conduct Complaint

A second code of conduct complaint was presented to the committee. After reviewing the report, members requested that the Monitoring Officer seek additional information from the relevant Councillor. Consequently, the committee resolved to defer consideration of this complaint until further details could be obtained. The meeting reconvened on 14 May to consider the additional information, at which point the complaint was again referred to the Monitoring Officer for further investigation.
