Local residents and the Parish Council had raised objections concerning highway safety, drainage, and the development's location outside the settlement boundary. The applicant's agent spoke in support of the proposal.

The committee granted planning permission for a rural exception site of 20 houses and bungalows, with associated gardens and road. The Senior Planning Officer introduced the application, and the agent for the applicant spoke in support.
