The Licensing Sub Committee of Tower Hamlets Council was scheduled to consider two applications for premises licences. These applications involved potential variations to existing licences and new licence requests, with representations received from various bodies including the Licensing Authority, Metropolitan Police, and local residents.
Application for Variation of Premises Licence: Bar 104, 104 Brick Lane, London, E1 6RL
The committee was scheduled to consider an application to vary the premises licence for Bar 104, located at 104 Brick Lane, London, E1 6RL. The primary licensing objective cited for this application was the prevention of public nuisance. Representations regarding this application were expected from the Licensing Authority and Environmental Protection.
Application for Premises Licence: (Boat Live), 90 White Post Lane, London E9 5EN
A further application scheduled for discussion was for a new premises licence for (Boat Live) at 90 White Post Lane, London E9 5EN. This application was to be considered in relation to several licensing objectives: the prevention of crime and disorder, the prevention of public nuisance, and public safety. A range of representations were anticipated for this application, including those from the Licensing Authority, Metropolitan Police, Health & Safety, a resident, Environmental Protection, and the London Legacy Development Corporation.
The committee was also scheduled to note the rules of procedure governing its operations, as detailed in the agenda. Additionally, a potential extension of the decision deadline for applications under the Licensing Act 2003 was to be considered, should the volume of applications necessitate it.
