The Surrey Police and Crime Panel Complaints Sub-Committee met on Monday 1 June 2026. The meeting was scheduled to discuss a complaint against the Police and Crime Commissioner for Surrey and a separate complaint identified as Complaint 0068. The committee was also due to consider the Police and Crime Commissioner's response to Complaint 0068.
Complaint Against the Police and Crime Commissioner for Surrey
The sub-committee was scheduled to consider a complaint made against the Police and Crime Commissioner for Surrey. This discussion was to take place in accordance with the Elected Local Policing Bodies (Complaints and Misconduct) Regulations 20121 and the Panel's agreed Complaints Protocol. The report pack indicated that the committee was asked to seek the informal resolution of this complaint. Information relating to any individual involved in this complaint was deemed confidential and not for publication.
Complaint 0068
The meeting agenda also included a discussion of Complaint 0068
. Similar to the previous item, details of this complaint were confidential and not for publication, as they related to information about an individual.
Police and Crime Commissioner Response to Complaint 0068
Following the discussion of Complaint 0068, the sub-committee was scheduled to review the Police and Crime Commissioner's response to this complaint. This item was also marked as confidential and not for publication due to its personal nature.
Exclusion of the Public
A recommendation was put forward that the public be excluded from the meeting for certain agenda items. This was proposed under Section 100(A) of the Local Government Act 19722 and in accordance with the Panel's agreed protocol. The grounds for exclusion were that these items involved the likely disclosure of exempt information under Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act, specifically relating to information about individuals.
Publicity of Part Two Items
The sub-committee was also scheduled to consider whether the items discussed in Part 2
of the agenda, which were to be held in private, should be made available to the press and public.
