The Firefighters' Pension Scheme Appeals Committee of Oxfordshire Council met on Thursday 13 August 2026. The primary item on the agenda was to consider a report containing exempt information relating to an individual.
Consideration of an Exempt Report
The committee was scheduled to consider a report prepared by the Deputy Chief Executive (Section 151 Officer). This report contained information deemed exempt under the Local Government Act 1972, specifically relating to a particular individual and information that could reveal their identity. The report pack indicated that the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighed the public interest in disclosing the information. The committee was to be invited to pass a resolution to exclude the public from this part of the meeting due to the confidential nature of the information.
The agenda also included standard procedural items such as apologies for absence, the election of a Chair for the meeting, and declarations of interest. Guidance on declaring interests, including disclosable pecuniary interests and other registrable interests, was provided to the councillors. Councillor Peter Stevens and Councillor Leigh Rawlins were listed as members, with Councillor Imade Edosomwan attending as a substitute for Councillor Rawlins. Mohamed Cassimjee was also in attendance.
