The Alexandra Palace and Park Consultative Committee is scheduled to meet on Thursday 18 June 2026. The meeting's agenda includes discussions on traffic-related anti-social behaviour on Alexandra Palace Way, the outdoor events programme for Alexandra Park, and progress reports from the Charitable Trust.
Response to Traffic-Related Anti-Social Behaviour on Alexandra Palace Way
The committee is scheduled to review a report on traffic-related anti-social behaviour affecting Alexandra Palace Way and the surrounding area. The report is expected to summarise issues that have been reported, the partnership response to date, and the legal and enforcement context. It will also outline additional measures under consideration to reduce nuisance, improve safety, and address residents' concerns. The report notes that concerns have been raised about a rise in dangerous driving, street racing, and excessive noise, which have the potential to affect public confidence, enjoyment of the area, and safety. The Trust has been working with partners including Haringey Council, the Metropolitan Police, and local Safer Neighbourhood Teams. Measures under consideration include increased police and security presence, a review of CCTV coverage and potential monitoring technologies, and an assessment of noise-monitoring technology.
Alexandra Park Outdoor Events Report
A report is scheduled to be presented to the committee regarding Alexandra Park's outdoor events programme for 2026. This report will outline the delivery of events such as the Summer Series, Kaleidoscope Festival, Red Bull Soapbox, and the Fireworks Festival. The programme is described as reflecting a balanced approach to commercial performance and responsible management of the Park, ensuring events are delivered safely and with consideration for residents. The report details the licensing framework under which Alexandra Palace operates, including premises licences for the Palace and the Park. It also provides details on permitted event day noise levels and curfews for outdoor live music events. The Summer Series in 2026 is set to include six outdoor concerts in addition to the Kaleidoscope Festival, with a maximum capacity of 14,500 per event. Specific dates and artists for the Summer Series are listed, including The Maccabees, Wet Leg, Rudimental, Groove Armada, Russell Kane, Super Furry Animals, and The Streets. Operational impacts, including park and road closures, and bus diversions for these events are also detailed. The Red Bull Soapbox event on 20 June 2026, with a maximum attendance of 20,000, and the Fireworks & Drone Festival on 7 and 8 November 2026 are also covered.
Charitable Trust - Progress Report
The committee is scheduled to receive a general update on the progress of the Alexandra Park and Palace Charitable Trust for the financial year 2026/27. The report summarises progress aligned with the Trust's vision to Create a Sustainable Home for All That We Do.
Updates are provided under several strategic goals, including providing entertainment and culture, building climate change resilience, protecting heritage assets, safeguarding the park, restoring derelict spaces, establishing new partnerships, and strengthening overall resilience. The report highlights strong delivery across the commercial and cultural programme, with a varied schedule of concerts, theatre, and exhibitions. Leisure and ancillary offers, such as the Ice Rink and food and beverage outlets, are also noted as playing an important role. Progress in climate resilience includes energy efficiency improvements and infrastructure upgrades, with a solar PV project at the Boathouse planned. Heritage conservation efforts include road renewals and improvements to heating vent grilles. The report also details work on the EE connectivity project and upgrades to emergency lighting systems. In terms of safeguarding the park, volunteer groups are actively involved in habitat improvements, and a new Park Management Plan is being developed. The report also covers the protection and sharing of archives, including the development of the Creative Campus project and partnership activity with various institutions. Community engagement initiatives, such as the North London Book Fest and Biblio-Buzz Children's Book Awards, are also mentioned. Fundraising efforts, including a crowdfunder for accessibility measures in the Alexandra Park Wetlands, are highlighted. Finally, the report touches upon the Panorama Room Replacement Project and the Creative Campus Project, as well as partnership working with organisations like the Society for Protection of Ancient Buildings (SPAB).
