The Rating Advisory Panel of Westminster Council met on Tuesday 8 September 2026. The meeting was scheduled to consider applications for National Non-Domestic Rates (NNDR) discretionary and hardship relief. The public and press were to be excluded from a portion of the meeting to discuss exempt information related to these applications.
NNDR Discretionary and Hardship Relief Applications
The panel was scheduled to review applications for National Non-Domestic Rates (NNDR) discretionary and hardship relief. These applications, detailed across pages 3 to 304 of the public reports pack1, would have been considered to determine if relief could be granted. The Local Government Act 19722 allows for the exclusion of the public and press from discussions where the disclosure of exempt information is likely, provided the public interest in maintaining that exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosure. The report pack indicated that the Chief Executive, Stuart Love, had signed off on the documentation on 31 August 2026.
