The team highlighted the high-density residential occupation in the vicinity, including short-term holiday lets, and the potential for increased noise and anti-social behaviour from intoxicated individuals returning to nearby accommodation. They also noted that the applicant's existing city centre stores close at 11pm and do not have licensed external areas, questioning their experience with late-hour trading and managing intoxicated customers. The team also expressed concern that the operating schedule did not adequately promote the licensing objective of protecting children from harm, suggesting a condition to restrict under-18s after 10pm unless accompanied by an adult.
