Open Council Network is an independent organisation. We report on Greater London Authority and are not the council. About us
The Budget and Performance Committee of the Greater London Authority Council is scheduled to meet on Wednesday 16 September 2026. The meeting's agenda includes a review of the Transport for London Capital Renewals programme and the Quarter 1, 2026/27 GLA Group Monitoring Reports. Additionally, the Committee will consider its work programme for the remainder of the year.
Transport for London Capital Renewals
The Committee is scheduled to receive a report on Transport for London's (TfL) capital renewals programme. This report will serve as background information for the Committee to ask questions of invited guests, including Patrick Doig, TfL's Chief Finance Officer; Claire Mann, TfL's Chief Operating Officer; Richard Jones, TfL's Director of Asset Performance Delivery; and Edward Richardson, Transport Programme Director at BusinessLDN. Following this discussion, the Committee will delegate authority to the Chairman, in consultation with party Group Lead Members, to agree any output arising from the discussion.
Quarter 1, 2026/27 GLA Group Monitoring Reports
The Committee will also receive and note the quarterly monitoring reports for the first quarter of the 2026/27 financial year from various GLA Group bodies. These reports provide an update on the financial performance and delivery progress of key programmes across the Greater London Authority and its functional bodies. The appendices to these reports, which contain detailed information, have been circulated separately to Members and are also available on the GLA website.
Budget and Performance Committee Work Programme
Finally, the Committee is recommended to note its work programme for the remainder of the 2026/27 Assembly year. This outlines the topics and areas of focus for future meetings, including budget scrutiny and examination of specific performance issues across the GLA Group. The date of the next meeting is scheduled for 20 October 2026.
