The Licensing, Environment & Safety Committee was scheduled to consider applications for Private Hire Driver's licences. These applications were to be reviewed due to previous convictions of the applicants.
Private Hire Driver's Licence Applications
The committee was scheduled to consider three separate applications for Private Hire Driver's licences, each of which had been adjourned from a previous meeting or was being presented for the first time. In each case, the committee was scheduled to review a report from the Director for Place Management detailing the previous convictions of the applicant.
Case Number P1835 (Adjourned from 29 April 2026): This case was scheduled to be considered, with the report detailing the previous convictions of a new applicant for a Private Hire Driver's licence. The committee was requested to consider whether the applicant was a fit and proper person to hold such a licence.
Case Number P1840: This case was scheduled to be considered, with a report detailing the previous convictions of a new applicant for a Private Hire Driver's licence. The committee was requested to consider the applicant's suitability for the licence.
Case Number P1841: This case was also scheduled for consideration, with a report outlining the previous convictions of a new applicant for a Private Hire Driver's licence. The committee was requested to assess the applicant's fitness and propriety to hold the licence.
The officer contact for all three cases was Sarah Tooth, who could be reached by telephone on 0161 474 4176 or by email at sarah.tooth@stockport.gov.uk.
