The Scrutiny Co-ordination Committee met on Monday 21 September 2026 to consider the Scrutiny Annual Report for 2025/26. The committee agreed to endorse the report, subject to the inclusion of a Chair's foreword, and the Chair, Councillor Alex Wynne, will present it to the Council meeting.
Scrutiny Annual Report 2025/26
The committee considered the Scrutiny Annual Report for the 2025/26 municipal year. Councillor Alex Wynne, Chair of the Scrutiny Co-ordination Committee, confirmed that he was content to present the report to the Council meeting. Damian Eaton, from Corporate and Support Services, explained that the report needed to include a Chair's foreword before submission. Councillor Wendy Meikle, Chair of the Children & Families Scrutiny Committee, agreed to second the proposal to present the report. The committee agreed to note and comment on the report in its current state, with the understanding that the Chair's foreword would be added. The report outlines the work undertaken by the various scrutiny committees throughout the year.
The next meeting of the Scrutiny Co-ordination Committee is scheduled for Monday, 2 November 2026.
