The Civic Government Licensing Committee of Scottish Borders Council met on Friday 23 October 2026. The meeting included the approval of the minutes from the previous meeting and the noting of licences issued under delegated powers. The committee then moved to private business.
Approval of Minutes and Noted Licences
The committee agreed to the minutes from the previous meeting held on 19 June 2026. They also noted the list of licences issued under delegated powers. These lists detailed a wide range of licences granted, including Houses in Multiple Occupation, Late Hours Catering Licences, Marches and Parades, Market Operator licences, Metal Dealer - Itinerant licences, Public Charitable collections, Public Entertainment Licences, Private Hire Drivers and Vehicles, Skin Piercing/Tattoo licences, Home Sharing and Letting licences, Street Trader Licences, and Taxi Driver and Vehicle Licences.
Taxi Driver Licence Renewal
The committee was scheduled to consider the renewal of a Taxi Driver Licence. This would involve reviewing the application for renewal, along with representation letters and reports received from Police Scotland and the Licensing Standards Enforcement Officer. The applicant was cited to attend the hearing. As the meeting status was SCHEDULED_ONLY, this item was not decided at this time.
