The applicant has agreed to incorporate conditions recommended by the Police and has reached an agreement with the Noise Team, leading to the withdrawal of their representation. The applicant has also responded to the objectors' concerns. The report pack highlights that the premises has not previously been licensed. Concerns raised by residents include the potential for increased crime and disorder, public nuisance, and risks to public safety and children, particularly given the proximity to residential properties, a school, and a homeless shelter.

New Premises Licence - River and Green, 203 Green Lanes, London, N16 9DJ

The committee will also consider a new premises licence application for River and Green. This application seeks to allow the sale of alcohol both on and off the premises, with proposed hours extending to 00:45 from Sunday to Thursday and 01:45 on Fridays and Saturdays. The application also seeks permission for late-night refreshment until 01:45 on Fridays and Saturdays, and for the premises to be open to the public until 02:00 on Fridays and Saturdays and days preceding a bank holiday.

Representations have been received from the Council's Noise Service and seven local residents. The Noise Service has withdrawn its representation after the applicant agreed to additional conditions. The Metropolitan Police have reviewed the application and have not submitted a representation. The applicant has responded to the objectors' concerns. The report pack indicates that the property currently holds a premises licence, granted in January 2023, which authorises the off-sale of alcohol between 09:00 and 23:00 daily. If this new application is granted, the current licence will be surrendered. Residents' concerns primarily focus on potential noise disturbance, litter, anti-social behaviour, and public safety, particularly due to the proposed extended hours and the allowance for on-site alcohol consumption in an external area.
