The Senior Staff Appointments Sub-Committee of Brent Council met on Monday 10 June 2024 to appoint a new Director of Strategic Commissioning and Capacity Building. Following interviews, Rhodri Rowlands was appointed to the role.

Appointment of Director of Strategic Commissioning & Capacity Building

The committee appointed Rhodri Rowlands as the new Director of Strategic Commissioning and Capacity Building. This decision was made following interviews held on Monday 10 September 2024. The press and public were excluded from this part of the meeting as it related to information about an individual, as permitted under the Local Government Act 1972. The agenda for the meeting included the job description, person specification, and candidates' CVs and supporting statements for the role. The committee members present were Councillor M Butt (Chair), Councillor Kansagra, Councillor Nerva, Councillor M Patel, and Councillor Rubin. No apologies for absence were received, and no interests were declared by the members. The minutes from the previous meeting on Monday 4 March 2024 were approved.
