The Governance Scrutiny Panel of North Lincolnshire Council met on 11 June 2024 to discuss the progress of the Community Governance Review. The panel resolved to hold planning and evaluation meetings on 26 March and 9 April to consider draft recommendations prior to Stage 2 of the consultation.

Community Governance Review

The Director: Outcomes delivered a presentation on the progress of the Community Governance Review. The presentation covered several key areas:

• Communication with Parish Councils/Meetings: The Director outlined the methods and channels used to communicate with various parish councils and meetings, ensuring that all stakeholders were informed and engaged in the review process.

• Publicity: Efforts to publicise the review were detailed, including the use of local media, council websites, and social media platforms to reach a broad audience.

• Consultation: The consultation process was explained, highlighting the steps taken to gather input from the public and other interested parties.

• Responses from Parish Councils/Meetings: The Director shared the feedback received from parish councils and meetings, noting the key themes and concerns raised.

Following the presentation, the Director responded to questions from panel members. The panel expressed their gratitude for the comprehensive update and resolved to hold planning and evaluation meetings on 26 March and 9 April to consider draft recommendations prior to Stage 2 of the consultation.
