This meeting was to inform the Planning and Regulatory Committee of the decisions made by the Planning Manager under delegated powers since the last meeting of the committee.
The meeting covered a number of planning applications that had been decided by the Planning Manager under delegated powers.
Planning Applications Decided by the Planning Manager
The following planning applications, across a number of different sites, were decided by the Planning Manager under delegated powers.
Philip Southcote School and Chertsey Fire Station, Addlestone
Details of a plan showing the location of the Tree Protection fencing, details of cyclist facilities and details of a design of surface water drainage, hard and soft landscaping plans, and a construction and environmental management plan, all required by previous planning permissions, were approved.
Land at A320 Junction 6, Guildford Road
Details of a written scheme of investigation and programme of archaeological work (for trial trench evaluation), required by a previous planning permission, was approved.
Land at Faircroft Community Home, Cobham
An application to build a new building to provide residential accommodation falling within Class C2 1 (residential institutions) with associated parking, access and landscaping was granted.
Hoe Valley School, Woking
Details of a construction transport management plan, tree retention and protection measures and an arboricultural method statement, all required by previous planning permissions, were approved.
Land at Merrow Depot, Guildford
Details of a construction transport management plan, surface water drainage scheme and construction environmental management plan, all required by previous planning permissions, were approved.
Weybridge Library, Weybridge
Details of a written scheme of investigation for an archaeological watching brief, required by a previous planning permission, was approved.
Farnham Sewage Treatment Works, Farnham
Details of a landscape and ecology management plan, required by a previous planning permission, was approved.
Chiddingfold Storage Depot, Dunsfold
Details of an existing access visibility splay drawing, proposed cycle parking and electric vehicle charging points, a noise management plan, a surface water drainage scheme, a landscape management plan and a biodiversity enhancement and maintenance scheme, all required by previous planning permissions, were approved.
Land to the north east of Slyfield Industrial Estate, Guildford
A non-material amendment to a previous planning permission to amend plans and drawings to allow alterations to the UKPN compound vehicle access, the design and orientation of the substation building within the compound, the boundary fence and landscaping to accommodate these amendments was approved.
Environmental Impact Assessment Screening Opinions
Earlswood Sewage Treatment Works, Redhill
An Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) screening opinion decided that proposed upgrade and improvement works to be carried out under Class B (Development by or on behalf of sewerage undertakers) of Part 13 (Water and Sewerage) and Class A (temporary buildings and structure) of Part 4 (Temporary Buildings and Uses) of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) Order 2015 (as amended) would not be subject to an EIA.

Class C2 is a designation for buildings that are used for residential institutions. These can include hospitals, nursing homes, schools and colleges, and residential care homes. ↩
