The meeting of Islington Council's Employment and Appointments Committee scheduled for the 6th of March 2024 had one item on the agenda, the appointment of a new Director of IT and Digital Services for the council.
Appointment of Director of IT and Digital Services
The meeting was scheduled to include interviews with candidates for the role of Director of IT and Digital Services, from which the committee was to decide whether to appoint one of the candidates.
The salary for the successful candidate was to be decided by the committee, within the range advertised for the position, which was Grade CO2 (£113,874 to £125,685)
. The appointment was to be made subject to the successful candidate passing the Executive Notification Procedure, which allows members of the council's Executive to object to the appointment before it is finalised.
The report prepared for the meeting notes that a full Equalities Impact Assessment is not required
, because the appointment is being made in accordance with the Council’s established procedures
