Parking Tariff Consultation

Councillor Daniel Allen, Leader of the Council, was scheduled to give a presentation about the ongoing consultation on parking charges.

Baldock Festival

There was scheduled to be a presentation by a representative of the Baldock Festival about event ideas.

Community Update

Council officers were scheduled to update the forum about a number of local and district-wide issues, including:

  • That they had worked with the Royal British Legion and Letchworth BID to deliver the Letchworth Remembrance Day Parade.
  • That the council had allocated grants of between £5,000 and £20,000 to community groups using money from the North Herts Prosperity Fund. The fund, totalling £210,000 is financed by the UK Government.
  • That the council had launched the North Herts Heroes Awards, which will be presented at the Chairs Civic event on 28 February 2025.
  • That council officers were coordinating the voluntary sector response to asylum seekers housed in North Hertfordshire.

The forum was also scheduled to be informed that Creative Chefs, a local community organisation, had been awarded £6,750 from the Prosperity Fund to develop their website.
