Applications for Short Term Lets Licences
Applications for new Short Term Lets Licences at a number of properties were scheduled to be discussed after objections from members of the public:
- 7, The Limes, Edinburgh - This application was continued from the meeting on 11 November 2024 to allow the applicant to attend.
- 22 f 3, Lochrin Buildings, Edinburgh - This application was referred to the sub-committee to consider objections from two members of the public. One objector wrote that the application had come to her attention because a key box had been installed at the property, and that they were concerned because they had not received a Public Notice of Application.
- 3f4, 16 Springvalley Terrace, Edinburgh - This application was continued from the meeting on 12 November 2024 to allow the applicant to attend. This application was referred to the sub-committee to consider objections from two members of the public.
- Flat 1, 5 Dalgety Road, Edinburgh - This application was referred to the sub-committee to consider objections from two members of the public.
- 2 Leamington Terrace, Edinburgh - This application was referred to the sub-committee to consider an objection from a member of the public.
Application for a new Late Hours Catering Licence
- 45-47 Shandwick Place, New Town, Edinburgh - This application was referred to the sub-committee to consider a representation from Police Scotland. The report notes that Licensing Enforcement have requested a condition that no hot food is to be sold after 2am Sunday to Thursday nor after 3am on a Friday and Saturday, and that the applicant has agreed to this.
Applications for new Street Trader Licences
- Leith Links, Edinburgh - This application was referred to the sub-committee to consider an objection on health and safety grounds, and a representation from Licensing Enforcement.
- Mobile Street Trader - This application for permission to trade from a mobile unit in zones 7 and 8 was referred to the sub-committee to consider a representation from Licensing Enforcement.
Application for the renewal of a Street Trader Licence
- Dean Path, Edinburgh - This application was referred to the sub-committee to consider objections from three members of the public.
Applications for temporary Market Operator Licences

Applications for temporary Public Entertainment Licences

Applications for the renewal and variation of Market Operator Licences
- The Pitt, Edinburgh
The sub-committee was also scheduled to consider a report on applications to vary the conditions of Taxi or Private Hire Car Licences, several of which were requesting exemptions from the Taxi and Private Hire Cars Age Limitation and Emission Standards Policy. A report on a request for the suspension of a Taxi Driver’s Licence was scheduled to be considered, which stated that Council officers from the Licensing Enforcement team had requested that the committee consider suspending the licence of Mr Azadur Rahman.
The sub-committee was also scheduled to consider a report on a request from Police Scotland for the suspension of a Short-Term Lets Licence held by Mr Abdelrazig Abdella. A report on an application for a Private Hire Driver’s Licence from Mr Dariusz Wachulak was scheduled for consideration, as the applicant had provided a criminal conviction check from Poland, which did not explicitly detail the offences of which he had been convicted. The sub-committee was also scheduled to consider a report on an application for a Private Hire Vehicle Licence from Mr Bashir Ahmad, which was being referred because of a Police objection.
