This meeting of the Licensing Sub-Committee will be asked to make decisions about three taxi driver licences. All of the decisions will be made in a part of the meeting that will be closed to the public.
Decisions about three taxi driver licences
Councillors will be asked to make decisions about three taxi driver licences in private. The public will not be allowed into the meeting while this is discussed because the meeting will discuss information that is likely to reveal private information about individuals. The report pack says that:
the public interest in withholding the information outweighs the public interest in disclosing the information to the public.
This is allowed by schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 19721.

The Local Government Act 1972 is a law that consolidated existing legislation relating to local government in England and Wales. Schedule 12A was added by the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985 and sets out the circumstances in which councils can hold meetings in private. Paragraph 1 of part 1 of Schedule 12A allows councils to withhold information if it
relates to any individual
