The Haselbury Ward Forum meeting scheduled for Tuesday, 7 January 2025, was set to include updates from the police and a special address from the Leader of Enfield Council. The agenda also outlined opportunities for residents to engage directly with their local councillors.

Police Update

A significant portion of the meeting was allocated for a police update concerning the Haselbury, Lower Edmonton, and Upper Edmonton wards. This update was scheduled to be delivered by Tom B Gallagher SNT¹ and was expected to last for 40 minutes.

Special Guest Speaker

Councillor Ergin Erbil, the Leader of Enfield Council, was scheduled to be a special guest speaker. His address was planned to last for 20 minutes. Councillor Erbil is the political head of the council, responsible for setting its overall direction and priorities.

Councillor Updates and Resident Engagement

The agenda included a 40-minute session for Councillors Updates and Meet Your Councillors. This segment was designed to facilitate separate table discussions between councillors and residents from each ward. Additionally, a 30-minute slot was set aside for One to One Sessions, providing a more private setting for residents to discuss matters with their ward councillors. The councillors for Haselbury ward attending were Mahym Bedekova, Mustafa Cetinkaya, and George Savva MBE (Associate Cabinet Member (Enfield South East)).²

The meeting was scheduled to take place at St Demetrios Church Hall, Hal Logan Road N9 0LP, and was open to all residents, not just those living within the specific wards.
