The Labour nominees included Ghazanfar Ali, Councillor Simon Brown, Councillor Asif Hussain, Jerry Miles, Nitin Parekh, Councillor Varsha Parmar, Councillor Natasha Proctor, Krishna Suresh, and Sasi Suresh.
• Social Services Appeals Panel: This panel was to comprise two members plus one independent member, with nominations from both Conservative and Labour groups. The Conservative nominees were Ameet Jogia, Hitesh Karia, Councillor Kuha Kumaran, and Pritesh Patel. The Labour nominees were Councillor Simon Brown, Councillor Maxine Henson, Councillor Asif Hussain, and Rekha Shah.

Procedural Matters

The meeting was also scheduled to address several procedural items. These included noting the attendance of any duly appointed Reserve Members, receiving declarations of disclosable pecuniary or non-pecuniary interests from all members of the Committee and other members present, and the appointment of a Vice-Chair for the municipal year 2025/26.
