The Harrow Standing Advisory Council for Religious Education (SACRE) met on 25 June 2025, at Holy Trinity, Wealdstone¹. The agenda included a review of the Development Plan, feedback on the NASACRE² conference, and local and national updates. There was also time set aside to discuss determination orders³ and the SACRE Self-Evaluation Form (SEF).

Development Plan Review

Lisa Kassapian, SACRE advisor, was scheduled to lead a review of the 2024-2025 Development Plan and present a draft Development Plan for 2025-2026. SACRE development plans usually set out the priorities for religious education in the borough.

NASACRE Conference and Webinars 2025 Feedback

Feedback from the 2025 NASACRE conference and webinars was scheduled to be provided by Lisa Kassapian, SACRE advisor, as well as Mr D Cryer, The Rev'd Mike Still, and AS. NASACRE is the National Association of SACREs, a membership organisation that supports local SACREs in their work.

Local and National Updates

AS and Lisa Kassapian, SACRE advisor, were scheduled to provide local and national updates relevant to religious education.

SACRE Self-Evaluation Form (SEF)

Lisa Kassapian, SACRE advisor, was scheduled to present the SACRE SEF. The SEF is a document that allows SACREs to evaluate their own performance and identify areas for improvement.

Determination Orders

AS was scheduled to discuss determination orders. Determination orders are made when the local authority considers that the requirements for collective worship in community schools are not appropriate to the pupil's age and ability.
