The Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee was scheduled to meet to welcome new members, note apologies for absence, and address several information items related to healthcare in Gloucestershire. These items included an introduction to NHS Gloucestershire, an update on the Gloucestershire Integrated Care System (GICS), and a report from the NHS Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board (ICB). The committee was also scheduled to discuss its work plan for the upcoming months.

NHS Gloucestershire

The committee was scheduled to receive an overview of the work of NHS Gloucestershire in relation to the committee's remit. This was to include presentations from:

• NHS Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board (ICB)
• Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
• Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust

Gloucestershire Integrated Care System (GICS) Performance Report

The committee was scheduled to receive an update on the performance of the Gloucestershire Integrated Care System (GICS) against NHS constitutional and other agreed standards.

NHS Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board (ICB) Report

The committee was scheduled to receive a report from the NHS Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board (ICB), known collectively as NHS Gloucestershire. The report was to include updates from Integrated Care System (ICS) partners responsible for overseeing the day-to-day commissioning and provision of NHS services in Gloucestershire.

Work Plan

The committee was scheduled to note the dates of future meetings and consider items to include on the committee work plan. The dates of future meetings are:

When proposing items, members were asked to consider the reasons for and the expected benefits of the scrutiny committee's involvement, and which category the item should relate to on the committee agenda:

• Overview – an item which involves members learning about a subject, including asking questions of clarifications but does not necessarily lead to any actions or recommendations.
• Scrutiny – an item which requires members to examine the content of the subject and provide an outcome.
• Information – reports provided for information. Information reports can be taken as read or presented at the meeting. Questions may be asked at the meeting but should be kept to a minimum. Where it is not possible to provide an answer at the meeting, a written response to be provided after the meeting.

The committee was also scheduled to:

• Note the committee terms of reference.
• Note and agree the minutes of the Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee meeting held on 11 March 2025, including any outstanding actions from that meeting.
• Receive public representations. According to the agenda, the County Council Constitution states that any person who lives or works in the county or is affected by the work of the County Council, may make written representation on any matter which relates to an item on the agenda for that meeting .
