The Children and Young People Scrutiny Committee of Peterborough Council met on 29 September 2025 to discuss school admissions policies, the school organisation plan, the annual corporate parenting report, and the committee's work programme. School Admissions Policy

Work Programme 2025-26
The committee was scheduled to discuss its work programme for 2025-26. This outlines the topics and issues the committee plans to examine over the coming year.
Appointment of Co-opted Member 2025-2026
The committee was scheduled to discuss the supplementary appointment of co-opted members for the 2025-2026 municipal year. Co-opted members are individuals who are not elected councillors but are invited to sit on the committee due to their expertise or experience in a particular area. The Supplementary Appointment of Co-opted Members 25-26 CYPSC document was provided for review.
The listed co-opted members of the committee are Canon Andrew Read, Statutory Education Co-opted Member (Church of England), Andy Stone, Statutory Education Co-opted Member (Roman Catholic Church), Parish Councillor Daral Brennan, and Sameena Aziz, Independent Co-opted Member.
Forward Plan of Executive Decisions
The committee was scheduled to review the forward plan of executive decisions. This is a document that lists upcoming decisions to be made by the cabinet or individual cabinet members.
