Serious Case Reviews are multi-agency reviews of cases in which a child has died or been seriously harmed, and abuse or neglect is suspected to be a factor. The purpose of SCRs is to identify lessons that can be learned from the case to improve safeguarding practice and prevent similar incidents from happening in the future.
