The Standing Advisory Council for Religious Education (SACRE) of Harrow Council was scheduled to convene on Tuesday 10 March 2026. The meeting's agenda included national and local updates on Religious Education, as well as discussions regarding the SACRE Development Plan.

National Updates

The SACRE was scheduled to receive updates on several national initiatives. This included information on the CAR initiative, feedback from the NASACRE In Conversation event in November 2025, and details about the upcoming NASACRE Conference in May 2026. Additionally, there was a scheduled update on RE Hubs, which are resources designed to support Religious Education.

Local Updates

On a local level, the SACRE was set to be briefed on the RE Subject Leaders Network Group. Updates were also planned regarding the Jewish Living Exhibition and activities related to Holocaust Memorial Day (HMD). Furthermore, the meeting was to include a discussion on workforce data.

Collective Worship

A significant item on the agenda was the topic of Collective Worship. This refers to the daily act of communal worship that is a statutory requirement in state-funded schools in England and Wales.

SACRE Development Plan 2025-2026

The SACRE was scheduled to review its Development Plan for the period 2025-2026. This plan outlines the council's objectives and strategies for Religious Education within Harrow for the upcoming year.

Future Meetings and Events

The agenda also indicated future activities. A Mosaic Teachers' Network/CPD session was planned for 5 May 2026, followed by a Jewish Living Exhibition viewing and CPD session led by Anna from the Board of Deputies. The SACRE also noted suggested future meeting dates for the council: 23 June, 30 September, 2 December, and 3 March.
