The Ealing Council Planning Committee is scheduled to meet on Wednesday, 18 March 2026, to consider three planning applications. The meeting will discuss proposals for industrial units in Acton, a variation to a mixed-use development including a Waitrose supermarket in West Ealing, and reserved matters for landscaping at a former transport yard in Northolt.
Planning Application - 16 Eastman Road, Acton, W3 7YG
The committee is scheduled to consider a full planning application for the demolition of existing buildings at 16 Eastman Road, Acton, W3 7YG, and the erection of single-storey industrial and/or logistics units with ancillary office space. The proposal also includes associated parking and landscaping. The report recommends granting planning permission, subject to the satisfactory completion of legal agreements and specified conditions.
Planning Application - Waitrose, 2 Alexandria Road, West Ealing, W13 0NL
A variation of planning permission is to be considered for the Waitrose site at 2 Alexandria Road, West Ealing, W13 0NL. This application seeks to amend conditions related to approved plans, quantum of development, landscaping, car parking, and fire strategy. The proposed changes include design amendments to internal and external layouts, relocation of the store's service yard, reduction in link block building heights and apartment floor-to-ceiling heights, and alterations to façade, fenestration, landscaping, and amenity space. The proposal also includes adjustments to car and cycle parking, a revised quantum of retail and residential floorspace, an increase of 37 homes, relocation of a café, and a revision to the store entrance. Planning Application - The Transport Yard, Wood End Gardens, Northolt, UB5 4QH
The committee will also consider a reserved matters application for The Transport Yard, Wood End Gardens, Northolt, UB5 4QH. This application pertains to the approval of hard and soft landscaping works for Phase 1 of the development, as required by the outline planning permission. The proposed works include alterations to the access road and adjacent landscaping. The report recommends approving the reserved matters application, subject to the conditions outlined in Appendix 1.
