The Buchan Area Committee of Aberdeenshire Council noted updates on 2024-25 works and approved proposals for allocating Revenue funding for Roads, Bridges, and Flood Risk and Coast Protection. The committee also made comments to the Infrastructure Services Committee on proposals for Capital funding in these areas.

The Buchan Area Committee decided to refer the application for a 180MW Battery Energy Storage System at Lunderton, North of Peterhead, to the Infrastructure Services Committee for a response to the Scottish Government consultation on 13/05/2025. The committee's views will be reported to Infrastructure Services Committee to agree Aberdeenshire Council's consultation response.

The Buchan Area Committee decided to forward its views on the planning application for onshore transmission infrastructure for Muir Mhòr Offshore Wind Farm. The committee considered the application on 13 May 2025. The decision maker will be the Infrastructure Services Committee.

The Buchan Area Committee decided to provide comments to the Infrastructure Services Committee on the Regional Coastal Change Adaptation Plan on 13/05/2025. The plan aims to set out a strategy for dealing with increased risk of coastal erosion and flooding. The committee agreed to establish Cross Council Action Groups for communities to lead on actions identified in Local Coastal Change Adaptation Plans.
