Shropshire Council's Cabinet met to discuss the council's worsening financial situation, approve an all-age autism strategy, and address concerns about the Shrewsbury station gyratory project[^2]. Shropshire Council's cabinet met to discuss the financial situation of the council, performance against the Shropshire Plan, and a number of other matters. The cabinet agreed to continue emergency action to improve the council's financial position, supported public consultation for the Severn Valley Water Management Scheme, and approved recommendations for a skateboard and BMX pump track in Oswestry. They also noted progress against the outcomes of the Shropshire Plan, and agreed to review and align Shropshire’s Performance Management Framework with the new administration’s priorities.

At a meeting on 15 October 2025, Shropshire Council's cabinet approved a CPC action plan, a draft financial strategy for 2026/27-2030/31, a highways future operating model report, application of the Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman’s Complaint Handling Code from 1 April 2026, and a plan to deliver a new skateboard and BMX pump track in Oswestry in partnership with Oswestry Town Council. Councillors also reviewed the financial monitoring for period 5, noting a potential illegal financial position by the end of the financial year.
