Warwickshire Police and Crime Panel - Thursday 20 November 2025 2.00 pm

The Warwickshire Police and Crime Panel met to discuss the HMICFRS PEEL inspection, the annual finance report, and the panel's annual report. The panel agreed to accept its annual report, and also agreed that Councillor Adrian Warwick, Councillor Cliff Brown, and Sue Gill would form a working group to look at the budget in more detail. The panel also agreed that Sue Gill, as chair, would write to the minister to ask them to look at the police funding formula.

The Warwickshire Police and Crime Panel met to appoint a new independent member and chair to the panel, and to discuss the Police and Crime Commissioner's annual report, grants, and the independent review into hunting related activities. Sue Gill was appointed as an independent member of the panel and then elected as Chair. The panel also noted reports on the annual grants and commissioned services operated by the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC), and the progress of recommendations made following the Independent Review into the Policing of the Warwickshire Hunt.
Portfolio Holder Decisions/Leader Decisions - Friday 13 June 2025 10.00 am
In a meeting on Friday, 13 June 2025, Councillor Wayne Briggs, Portfolio Holder for Education, agreed to commence a consultation regarding the expansion of The Avon Valley School and Performing Arts College in Rugby. The consultation will address a proposed increase of 300 places and the establishment of Specialist Resourced Provision at the school.
