The Wokingham Borough Council Annual Council meeting saw the election of Councillor Rob Comber as the new Mayor and Councillor Melanie De Jong as Deputy Mayor for the 2026-27 municipal year. Key decisions included the adoption of the Charvil Neighbourhood Plan, updates to the Council's constitution, and a significant revision to the Members' Allowances Scheme, which will now see basic allowances increase annually in line with inflation.
