The Standing Advisory Council on Religious Education (SACRE) of Newham Council met on Wednesday 4th February 2026 to discuss the annual report, priorities for the upcoming year, and student RE matters. Key decisions included the agreement of the 2025-2026 SACRE priorities and noting the findings from the NASACRE publication on annual reports.

The Standing Advisory Council on Religious Education (SACRE) meeting scheduled for 13 November 2025 was set to cover a range of topics concerning religious education in Newham schools. The meeting was about approving the minutes from the previous meeting and considering the SACRE’s priorities for the year. The members were also scheduled to receive an update on the forum of faiths and the RE Matters programme.

SACRE - Wednesday 23rd October 2024 6.30 p.m.

The meeting began with the announcement that Newham SACRE had won a London-wide Interfaith Award for their work with the Student RE Matters programme. The meeting then discussed various upcoming events, including Diwali, Bandi Shor Devas, Vaisakhi, a civic carol service, and Interfaith Week, which will run from 10th-17th November 2024. The meeting concluded with an agreement to hold the next meeting on 12th February 2025.
