Connect to Work

The Cabinet approved the acceptance of £2.2m in grant funding from the Department for Work and Pensions for the Connect to Work programme. They also approved the delegation of approvals for delivery partners to the Director of Education and Skills, Corporate Director of Children and Education, and Corporate Director of Resources. This decision was made on 29/04/2026.

DFT Integrated Transport Fund and Bus Services Fund

The Cabinet Member for Highways, Streetscene, and Flooding gave notice of their intention to make a decision regarding proposed parking controls at the junction of the C414 and New Road (Widam), Purton. This decision was recorded on 09/06/2026.

Justine Foster, Head of Leisure Operations, Leisure, Communities and Culture, approved the award of a £10,000 contract to Swim England for their Love Swimming Campaign in council leisure centres on 22/04/2026.

The Cabinet approved the acceptance and signing of the Department for Transport Memorandum of Understanding for the Integrated Transport Fund and Bus Services Fund on 29/04/2026. Authority was delegated to the Director Highways and Transport, in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Highways, Streetscene and Flooding, to finalise and publish the final LTDP and manage delivery and compliance.

Wiltshire Council Cabinet approved the acceptance of the Connect to Work Grant from the Department for Work and Pensions on 29/04/2026. The Cabinet approved a £2.2m grant award to The Shaw Trust Limited for specialist IPS provision and delegated subsequent specialist delivery approvals to directors in consultation with the Lead Member.

Fleet Route To Market

Asset Transfer to Salisbury City Council

Wiltshire Council Cabinet approved the transfer of freehold interest in the Central Car Park Public Conveniences, Salisbury, to Salisbury City Council on 29 April 2026. The Director of Assets is authorised to dispose of the freehold interest if Salisbury City Council accepts it. This decision enables Salisbury City Council to directly deliver public convenience services to its residents.
