Gloucestershire E-Scooter Trial Extension and proposed procurement for combined E-scooter & E-Bike Scheme

The Cabinet decided to approve the extension of the e-scooter contract for 12 months and delegate authority to procure a joint e-scooter and e-bike scheme. This decision was made on June 10th, 2026. Gloucestershire County Council's response to Government on the Gloucestershire Structural Change Order

The Cabinet of Gloucestershire County Council decided on 10 June 2026 to approve responses for representations to the Secretary of State regarding the Gloucestershire Structural Change Order. The Cabinet agreed to state a preference for a 'new council' model if a single unitary authority is implemented. Authority was delegated to the Chief Executive to finalise and submit these representations.

SHaRe Light Touch Open Admission Framework Agreement

The Executive Director of Economy, Environment and Infrastructure decided on 11 May 2026 to exercise a three-year extension option on the council's contract with West Mercia Energy for renewable electricity supply. This decision was made in consultation with relevant Cabinet members and officers. The extension aims to continue purchasing energy and managing price risks.

The Executive Director of Adult Social Care, Wellbeing and Communities decided on 19 August 2025 to award a contract to Newton Consulting Limited for Adult Social Care Improvement. This decision followed a mini-competition process under a Crown Commercial Services framework. The contract is for an initial period of four months with an option to extend for a further two months.

The Executive Director of Economy, Environment and Infrastructure decided on 15 April 2026 to implement Automatic Numberplate Recognition cameras at 15 additional Moving Traffic Enforcement locations. This decision follows a public consultation and consultation with the Cabinet Member for Sustainable Transport & Strategic Highways. The expansion aims to improve safety, traffic flow, and compliance with existing traffic restrictions.
