The Health and Wellbeing Board of Devon Council met on Thursday 16 April 2026 to discuss a range of important public health matters. Key topics included the development of a new dementia strategy for Devon, plans to prevent suicide across the county, and initiatives to promote smoke-free environments. The Board also reviewed progress on the Better Care Fund and the implementation of the Joint Health and Wellbeing Strategy.

The Cabinet of Devon County Council met on 8 April 2026 to discuss a range of significant issues, approving new governance arrangements for the Marlcombe New Town and East Devon Growth Corridor, endorsing the publication of the Devon Local Nature Recovery Strategy, and agreeing to extend the People First Strategy Action Plan. The meeting also addressed several Notices of Motion, including commitments to Fairtrade, community payback, and safeguarding community pharmacy access, alongside critical issues concerning non-adopted developments and the modernisation of the Tarka Line.

East Devon Highways and Traffic Orders Committee - Friday, 20th March, 2026 10.30 am

The East Devon Highways and Traffic Orders Committee met on Friday 20 March 2026 to discuss several key issues, including the Rydon Lane Green Lane update and the Exmouth Placemaking Plan. The committee ultimately decided not to approve the proposed amendments to the Rydon Lane Traffic Regulation Order, opting instead to maintain the existing restrictions. They did, however, endorse the Exmouth Placemaking Plan and Strategic Outline Business Case.
